This image is done in Photoshop. It is mainly brushwork on the rocks and some textures in the front. On the trees and everything else, I did not use textures.

It is a fantasy theme again and I worked on it in the past two months. I kept the saturation low, except of the womans red belt and the light she has with her.
This is a matte painting. I used Terragen to render a scene for the cliff and mountains and parts of the sky. Then I worked in Photoshop CS3 to create the cityscape and rocks and clouds and stars etc.
I often call my work Science-Fiction but this piece is one of the most Sci-Fi like images I did.
Another alien biotope. I enjoyed creating these alien plants. Some of them are huge balls filled with some gas which makes them light and lets them float in the air. When they are old enough and the wind gets strong, the ribbons snap and the wind carries them across the planet. That is the way they multiply.

There are lots of details in this image which get lost in this resolution. Here are some of them:
I used a basic Terragen-Render to start from. The sky is unchanged. I used some textures for the lake and the rock on the right.

This Shows an alien world full of life. There are several plant species and some animals. I wanted to do this for a long time.
This is a remake of an old image, called Life, which you can see in the galleries at my homepage.

The basic scene is rendered in Terragen.
I used photos to make parts of the rock look more realistic. Other parts are painted. The sky also got some changes and parts of the clouds close to the light source are photos.

The tree is painted. I had no graphics tablet when I painted the first one and I did not like it anymore.

This began as a study of a galaxy, viewed from the side, like we see the Milky Way. I tried to make a Milky Way a few years ago and wanted to optimise it.
Well, the Galaxy alone looked a little boring and needed a foreground. This was done in Photoshop as well. I started with a simple Terragen render es reference for colors and shapes but I do not see much of it anymore Even the surface is changed and got some textures to make it look a little more sandy.
This did not do it at all in so I overpainted it.
95% of the image are painted with brushes(the sun with the help of a "differencial clouds-filter" and a warp-filter) and 5% are remnants of Terragen which I used as textures.

The is the Terragen-Image:
For the moon in the sky I used a Terragen-Texture es well.

What you see here is a planet surrounding an active M-Star(cooler than the sun) in a close orbit. At least as far as I imagine it to look like
